About Maggie
For over 30 years, I have been supporting people to improve their wellbeing, confidence, and quality of life.

Hello, I’m Maggie, owner of Pace For Living in Axbridge, Somerset.
For over 30 years, I have been supporting people to improve their wellbeing, confidence, and quality of life. My journey began in healthcare, then stress management, and behaviour change, where I worked with people facing many of life’s challenges. Over time, I realised that while practical skills and talking therapies can be helpful, sometimes what people need most is a peaceful space simply to slow down, relax, and reconnect with themselves.
This understanding led me to explore holistic therapies, including Reiki, Meditation, Mindfulness, Crystal Therapy, and Sound Therapy. I discovered that these gentle approaches can help people find calm, restore balance, and create moments of stillness in an increasingly busy world.
My approach is warm, supportive, and person-centred. I believe that every individual is unique and that wellbeing is about nurturing the whole person – mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Whether you are seeking relaxation, emotional support, personal growth, or simply time for yourself, I aim to provide a safe and welcoming space where you can feel comfortable and supported.
Alongside my work with people, I have always had a deep love of animals and a special interest in animal healing. I am an accredited Reiki for Animals Practitioner and currently sit on a Reiki Council working group helping to develop standards for Reiki for Animals practice in the UK.
Animals have always been a big part of my life. I share my home with dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, and bees, and I never tire of the comfort, companionship, and joy that animals bring. Many owners comment on how naturally their animals respond to me, and I have experienced many rewarding outcomes using Reiki with animals over the years.
My professional background includes work within the NHS, adult education, community wellbeing programmes, and behaviour change training. These experiences continue to inform my practice, but today my passion lies in offering gentle holistic therapies that help people and animals find greater balance, peace, and wellbeing.
At Pace For Living, my aim is simple: to offer a calm, caring space where you can pause, breathe, relax, and take time for yourself.
