Following that inner voice

How often do you have a gut instinct, that intuitive feeling, something inside guiding you only to overrule it and not even consider its guidance or alternatively work it to death over analyzing it? It is easy to become caught up in other people’s opinions about what is right or wrong or even so concerned with other people’s lives that your own needs and wants vanish into the ether.

The Way To Inner Calm And Peace

I was listening to a webinar about what makes what you do as a job special. This got me thinking about what I do? I went and looked at my website and reread my strap line “the way to inner peace and calm.” So this is what I do I thought, but what do I […]

You Need Hands

Over the last few weeks I have been talking about hands a great deal within my teaching and therapy sessions. It appears to be the theme of the month so I thought why not write about hands in this blog.

Retreat

Over the years I have often wondered what it would be like to go on a retreat. It was certainly on my “bucket list” of things that I would like to do. I am not sure why I have never got round to actually going on one till now. These weather conditions have affected us due to the fact that our neighbour’s garden fell into […]

Time Time Time

I sometimes wonder where time goes. I often think that it speeds up as it seems to vanish into the ether without a trace. People often tell me that they are amazed at how much I seem to do and achieve, however I think I could achieve so much more which sometimes leads to frustration. I think that there is a little of the perfectionist still lurking in me which I do have to fight.

Anxiety (one woman’s journey)

So many people I meet, either as a therapist or on a course, suffer from anxiety to some extent.  Anxiety can cause so much stress and trauma to an individual as it can have the effect of  paralyzing  them with fear. Anxiety can build up and catches an individual out as its onset can feel sudden. Anxiety can also exist in the […]

Pushing the comfort zone boundaries

I am aware as a therapist and a trainer that it can seem a little glib when I rattle on about techniques and strategies to help individuals. I like to keep my skills sharp and one way I do this is to push myself out of my comfort zone. This helps me to keep in touch with what it feels for people when I advocate or suggest techniques for students or clients.
